Small Package, Big Impact
I might be the shortest person in the room, but I usually have the biggest plan. When you’re under five feet tall, you learn quickly that if you want to be seen, you have to be mighty.
In 2008, when I stood at a crossroads, I decided to build my own road. Much like the fig trees I propagate, my second career started with a single, fragile seed of an idea: that quality child care could be better. I launched The Imagination Station, which grew from a single part-time client into a 38-employee powerhouse. During the 18 years I spent nurturing that community, I discovered that my real talent wasn't just managing, it was designing the roots of growth for my team.
It wasn’t until I stumbled across the world of Instructional Design that I realized the work I had been doing had a formal name. After completing the Applied Instructional Design Academy, I’ve merged my 'conquer-it-all' business grit with high-level design. Today, I’ve traded the day-to-day operations of the Imagination Station for a full-time seat at the ID table, where I turn complex challenges into impactful learning experiences.
My current work with JerseySTEM is a perfect example of my continued evolution. I’m taking a disconnected, disorganized onboarding process and transforming it into a high-impact, two-week digital workflow. By leveraging tools like Enboarder and Agile methodology, I’m filling critical content gaps and proving that whether it’s a small childcare center or a large STEM organization, the secret to success is always rooted in intentional design.
My Roots & Rituals
When I’m not propagating fig trees or wrestling with complex variables in Storyline, I’m a proud mom to three amazing humans, Marisa, Maia, and Mikey. We’re often found heading to the beach, binging a great series, or trying to appease our very magical (and slightly judgmental) cat, Neville Longbottom. To keep my own 'mighty' energy up, you can usually find me at the batting cages or testing out new recipes in the kitchen.
