Problem Addressed: This course was developed to fulfill the state requirement that all employees of licensed child care centers receive emergency plan training before they are allowed to be staffed in a classroom. Reading through the emergency plan with each new employee is time consuming for the director and not particularly engaging for the employee.  The Imagination Station sought a solution that was more engaging and efficient than the current method of training.  This course provides new employees with an overview of the emergency plan and introduces the various emergency procedures. It is designed to be followed up with in-person practice and drills. Learners demonstrate competency by earning a minimum score of 80% on the final assessment.
