How I turn "tiny cuttings" of information into "fruitful" learning results.
Step 1: The Soil Test (Discovery and Research)
Before I ever touch a design tool, I get my hands dirty in the data. Just as a fig tree won’t grow in the wrong soil, a course won’t work if it doesn't solve the right problem. I perform deep-dive research to understand the "environmental" barriers your learners face.
The Goal: Identifying the gap between what is and what could be.
Step 2: Taking the Cutting (Content Analysis)
I strip away the "fluff" and focus on the core essentials. My experience as a Special Educator, Business Owner, and Learning and Design Specialist has taught me that learners are busy, they need the "need-to-know" content, delivered clearly. I do the research, consult with the SME's, then take the most vital pieces of information and prepare them for growth.
The Goal: Creating a lean, high-impact content map.
Step 3: Rooting (Instructional Design & Theory)
This is where the magic, and the science, happens. I anchor every module in Adult Learning Principles. I build interactive "root systems" (scenarios, triggers, and relatable avatars) that ensure the knowledge stays firmly planted long after the course is over.
The Goal: Building a foundation of retention and engagement.
Step 4: The Greenhouse (Development & Multimedia)
In this stage, I use authoring tools to bring the vision to life. This is where the aesthetics meet the instruction. I polish the visuals, edit the audio, and refine the user interface until the experience is seamless, professional, and engaging.
The Goal: A high-end, shelf-ready learning product.
Step 5: The Harvest (Evaluation & Results)
A project isn't finished when the "Publish" button is clicked; it's finished when we see the fruit. I evaluate the feedback and measure performance shifts, then revise and edit until the project is perfect. I want to see your employees thrive and your business grow.
The Goal: Measurable ROI and empowered learners.
